James Dorsey

Pastor James received the call into the ministry on March 2, 1988.  After five years of ministerial training in Virginia, James was officially ordained in 1993.  After assisting numerous churches in the Washington-Metropolitan in growth and develop, James was led by God to start the Guiding Light Christian Ministries.  Since that time Pastor James’ work has been in an outreach and evangelistic capacity.  Pastor James spends most of his time helping God's people through the resources of the ministry.  

Pastor James is married to Minister Tia and they resides in Charles County, MD.

Minister Tia accepted Jesus Christ as her personal savior in her early teens and experienced the move of God during the Pentecostal movement in the 1980’s! Although her paths ventured away from her initial teachings, her heart was never far from God. Minister Tia brings the diversity of a Christian faith background and the experience of a message of hope for a returning believer.

Minister Tia keeps it “real” by delivering practical life lessons for self-discovery and growth, financial wellness, pursuing your spiritual purpose and enjoying the journey while on earth.
